But during the Lockdowns, we've had to think of some other ways of making some pocket-money and keeping ourselves occupied.
I've always loved Fiestas - ever since we had one as a courtesy car and discovered we preferred it to our Golf.
Now my two children (18 and 22) and all their friends are driving them, and I felt I could provide a service by sourcing some good ones from allover the country, checking them out for reliability and safety, and passing them on to other families with children just starting to drive, taking out all the time, stress and uncertainty of the second hand car buying process, providing a friendly, trustworthy streamlined service.
Just give me a call and you'll have a good car delivered to your door within a couple of days - I'm allowed to do this, as for me, despite Lockdown etc, it's classed as work!
The whole process is really as simple as a phone call!

I've found Admiral to be the best for those who've recently passed their test.
Either put your child down as the policy holder (with a black box, no need to worry about that, it's painfree) and yourself as the named driver; or yourself as owner (possibly with a multi-car policy) and your offspring as the named driver. Aim for a premium of around £600. Alternatively you can use one of the temporary insurers, such as Cuvva (less than £20 per day) or Veygo.
For a child with a provisional licence, try 'Covered On Demand' - you can get 28 days of their driving a car insured in your name, over a 90 day period, for around £65.
